'The Simpsons' Endorses Biden By Reminding Audiences 50 Ways Trump Is Awful

Though groundbreaking on many fronts, The Simpsons isn’t much for getting overtly political. Over 32 seasons, the animated Fox show has had presidents from both parties appear, but often in light-hearted ways like George Bush playing a cranky neighbor to Homer’s buffoonery. When the show tries to preach, it’s sometimes proven shockingly tone-deaf. However, The Simpsons will kick-off this Sunday’s “Treehouse of Horrors” episode with America’s most-beloved animated family endorsing Joe Biden, by reminding their audience of 50 reasons not to vote for Donald Trump.

In the opener, Homer rushes into a voting booth and wobbles on who will get his vote for president. Lisa enters the booth, and chastises him, “You’re hesitating on who for president? DAD! By all that’s decent, how can you forget all that’s happened the last four years?” Then, following a visual gag that pins the Moonlight/La La Land Oscar-mistake firmly on Faye Dunaway (Warren Beatty was there too!), Homer visualizes a list of Trump’s travesties, ranging from “children in cages” and “called Mexicans rapists” to “described Meryl Streep as ‘over-rated.’”
