The Office ran for nine seasons over eight years. Since its ending, the show’s popularity has only increased. Thanks to streaming, the mockumentary show about a small-town paper company has continued to ensnare audiences with its antics. Many of the show’s stars have gone on to even bigger careers, but none have been as successful as John Krasinski and Steve Carell.

Carell’s fame increased while he was starring in the show. Films like The 40-Year-old Virgin and Anchorman helped his comedy star rise. He would then turn to more “prestige-style” films like Foxcatcher, Vice, and The Big Short, garnering a reputation as a more “serious” actor. His recent turns in shows like The Morning Show and The Patient have helped solidify that image.

John Krasinski has also cultivated an image outside of comedy. He made his directorial debut with the 2009 film Brief Interviews with Hideous Men and has gone on to direct both Quiet Place films. He has also transformed into a bit of an action star. He beefed up to star in Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan series and found himself fulfilling fan wishes via cameo appearances in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

Krasinski’s next outing as a director finds him playing in the world of imaginary friends. The Ryan Reynolds starring IF tells a tale of a young girl who can see imaginary friends who have been abandoned by the kids who created them. Carell will be lending his voice to one of the imaginary friends in the film. He and Krasinski reunited for one of his recording sessions, and the results are fantastic.

The two warmly embrace but can’t help turning the moment into a bit. They joke that it’s taken several takes to get the off-the-cuff moment right. Despite being brief, the moment is fun and genuine. They look excited to see each other and appear to be having a lot of fun. Hopefully, that attitude will transfer to the screen.
