Sit Down, Rob Schneider: The Maine Governor's Hot Take on John Lewis Is Even MORE Moronic

In the back and forth between Civil Rights Hero, John Lewis, and Hemorrhoidal Blumpkin Donald Trump, we’ve seen a number of moronic takes. Yesterday, Rob Schneider offered what we thought would be the week’s worst.

Rep. Lewis. You are a great person. But Dr. King didn't give in to his anger or his hurt. That is how he accomplished & won Civil Rights.

Schneider’s hot take, however, is like the Rob Schneider to Adam Sandler of hot takes compared to Maine Governor Paul LePage, the worst Governor in America. And those of you from Wisconsin, or Kansas, or New Jersey, who would like to challenge LePage’s title as Worst Governor in America, need only see his take on the John Lewis situation as proof.

“I will just say this: John Lewis ought to look at history,” LePage said during his weekly appearance on the George Hale and Ric Tyler Show, on Bangor-based radio station WVOM. “It was Abraham Lincoln who freed the slaves, it was Rutherford B. Hayes and Ulysses S. Grant who fought against Jim Crow laws. A simple thank you would suffice.”

I think TK said it best when said: “WHAT THE FUCK NO. NO. NO HE DID FUCKING NOT.”

Besides ignoring 100 years of civil rights work, it also happens to display a profound ignorance of history, as it was the 1877 Compromise that allowed Rutherford B. Hayes to become President in exchange for pulling Northern troops out of the South that actually gave birth to Jim Crow laws. In other words, Hayes is partially responsible.

I should add that LePage also had thoughts on the decision of our Congresswoman Chellie Pingree not to attend Donald Trump’s inauguration.

“For some reason, the left has become so hateful and they are trying to bully us out of believing our constitution,” LePage said. “Chellie Pingree, if she won’t attend on Friday, I would advise her to resign.”

The worst. I rest my case.
