Yellowjackets, a huge hit for Showtime last year that also resurrected the careers of Christina Ricci and Juliette Lewis (and gave fresh life to the career of Melanie Lynskey, who you people disappointingly did not put in the Pajiba 10), is returning in March, although I have a sneaking suspicion that Paramount+ will use the opportunity to make the Showtime/Paramount merge official, potentially discontinuing Showtime, as has been rumored. It would be wise timing because outside of the long-in-the-tooth Billions, Yellowjackets is the only series worth the $9 a month subscription.
Our look at the second season of Yellowjackets gives us our first look at Elijah Wood, who is joining the series, although it does not feature Lauren Ambrose, who will play the adult version of Van Palmer (played by Liv Hewson as a teenager). If you’re looking for clues in the trailer or context from season one to some of the shots in the trailer, Roxana has you covered over on Vulture. Otherwise, watch the teaser.
Yellowjackets returns on March 26th.
