Amber Ruffin’s time as part of the Tokyo Olympic coverage is the gift that keeps on giving. Handball, skateboarding, surfing, joyous interviews, a veritable smorgasbord of fun and positive energy. Amber’s joyous contributions should be more than enough to cement her Olympic legacy. However, as is the case when you’re dealing with a legend, Amber has now taken things to the next level. She has gone from interviewer to innovator!

Olympic weightlifting is a test of strength, composure, and muscle control. The strongest people, from all over the world, picking things up and putting them down with a vengeance! But where’s the pageantry?? Sure, they can lift heavy things, but can they look good while doing it? Are they able to deliver a sense of wonder and majesty oft reserved for the fanciful kings of old?! These are the questions asked when one takes up the sport of Artistic Weightlifting!

What are the rules of Artistic Weightlifting? That isn’t a leading question I’m asking so I can then answer. I’ve watched this video twice and still don’t know. Nevertheless! Artistic Weightlifting is about pure, uncut, appropriately charged for the weight received fun. I dare anyone to watch it and not smile!
