As if being married to her joke of a husband wasn’t bad enough, Second Lady Usha Vance was recently saddled with an inexplicable appearance on Meghan McCain’s podcast. The title alone should’ve set off red flags. It’s called Citizen McCain with Meghan McCain, so it says right on the box who will be sucking up all the attention like Jell-O shots down by the creek.
Case in point, Meghan decided to promote the interview by using it to launch her third pregnancy. You cannot make this sh*t up. Meghan’s thrice-married plagiarist husband slipped another one past the goalie, and goshdarnit, it’s finally a boy. They can leave the other two at a casino now, I guess.
Anyway, in a shocking moment of self-awareness, Meghan fully acknowledges that it’s very weird to announce her pregnancy with Usha as an unwitting accomplice barely 20 minutes after meeting her. I’m not saying anyone in this administration is worthy of decorum, but landing the Second Lady is a pretty huge get for Meghan. I would love to know how many strings she pulled, only to waste zero seconds making it entirely about her.
Just look at this thing. Despite the fact that Meghan is probably on a list somewhere, thanks to banging the Never Trump drum for years, she somehow has Usha Vance across the room from her and proceeds to make the poor woman give her parenting advice for raising three kids. It’s barely two notches above a hostage video.
Granted, Usha is ultimately out here trying to sell her husband as a normal husband and father who isn’t plummeting the nation into a lawless sh*t factory of bigotry and regret, but does she really deserve to be strapped to the Meghan McCain pregnancy bomb? — OK, yes, almost definitely, but that doesn’t make it less ridiculous to watch.
