It’s been two years since part one of Denis Villeneuve’s epic adaptation of Frank Herbert’s Dune was released. Breathtaking in scope and problematic in its casting (not you, Oscar) we’ve been anxiously anticipating its conclusion. And it is finally upon us.
Dune: Part Two will be released in theaters on November 3rd.
Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Stellan SkarsgÃ¥rd, Javier Bardem, and Charlotte Rampling all reprise their roles from Part One. They’re joined by Austin Butler (Elvis), Florence Pugh (Midsommer), Léa Seydoux (No Time To Die), and Christopher Walken.
Somewhat less anticipated, unless you put it on your vision board ten years ago, there will be a Five Nights At Freddy’s movie released this October. Well, at least they got the timing right.
My kid was super into FNAF in 2017. But, he says this is just “cringe.” Personally, I prefer the Nic Cage version of the story.
Five Nights At Freddy’s stars Josh Hutcherson, Matthew Lillard, Mary Stuart Masterson (REALLY?!?!), Elizabeth Lail (You), Kat Conner Sterling, and Kevin Foster as Freddy Fazbear.
It will be released in theaters and on Peacock on October 27th.
Proving once again that the most dangerous thing to be is related to Liam Neeson, there’s a new Taken movie being released. No, wait, I’m sorry. This is NOT a Taken movie or a Speed sequel. Weird, it looks just like them.
Along with Neeson, Retribution stars Noma Dumezweni (Made For Love), Lilly Aspell (WW84), Jack Champion (Avatar: The Way of Water), Embeth Davidtz (Old), and Matthew Modine.
It will be in theaters on August 25th.
As a little lagniappe, because I know y’all love the trashy bits, here’s the trailer to Lifetime’s upcoming limited series based on V.C. Andrews’ Dawn books.
