Paul Walter Hauser Is Not A Fan Of Vin Diesel

Vin Diesel is one of the biggest names in Hollywood. He has led (and left) several huge franchises. The Fast & Furious franchise is one of the most successful film franchises there is, and he has been the star of most of them. Over his decades-spanning career, Vin Diesel has become a bonafide star. The man is huge. He has fans all over the planet. Paul Walter Hauser is not one of them.

Hauser is an actor as well. He started as a “guy who was in that thing” kind of actor, with years of memorable supporting roles. Then, Hauser starred in Richard Jewel for Clint Eastwood. That film catapulted him to star status. Since then, his profile has grown significantly. I wouldn’t say that he is as big as Vin Diesel. Hauser wouldn’t say that either, so he quickly corrected an interviewer who did.

While promoting Inside Out 2, Hauser, and comedian Lewis Black, were chatting with someone at Cinemablend. The interviewer told Hauser that he was having a Vin Diesel-like arc, but the Cruella star shut them down quickly. “Please don’t say that. I like to think I am on time and approachable,” Hauser noted, much to the delight of Lewis Black. “I love people, but when I hear stories about Hollywood actors who get paid really well and mistreat people… I out them constantly, and it’s a blast.”

It’s refreshing to see a celebrity call out another for questionable behavior. Hauser and Diesel have not worked together, so it’s likely he has just heard these stories secondhand. He’s standing up for someone who likely can’t stand up for themselves. That’s rad! I can’t find anything that shows Hauser has done this before, which is what he kind of insinuates. Still, it is cool that he did it this time.

This is the second hit to Diesel’s oft-private persona within a year. The Guardians of the Galaxy star was sued by a former assistant at the end of last year for sexual battery. He managed to weather that storm and is back to hyping up Fast and Furious Ten Part 2. This story will probably go away as well.
