Lance Reddick Says that Keanu Reeves' Girlfriend, Alexandra Grant, Is 'Cool as F---'

Over the course of nearly 18 years running Pajiba (18 years?!), we’ve encountered a lot of toxic fan groups, but there are a few that are more crazed than others: 1) Joe Rogan listeners, who will remember something you wrote about Rogan and bring it up on social media five years later; 2) Johnny Depp stans, who not only viciously defend Depp for reasons that I do not understand but who attack and berate anyone who dares speak on behalf of Amber Heard; and 3) Alexandra Grant haters.

The latter is particularly bizarre, because — aside from dating Keanu Reeves — Grant is not a public figure. There are, however, a number of intricate wackjob conspiracy theories about her online, although it’s unclear if it’s a lot of nutters or just one very prolific nutter. Kayleigh, wrote a piece about Alexandra Grant in 2019 and is still being targeted by the Alexandra Granter hater(s).

A while back, I wrote about Keanu Reeves and his girlfriend Alexandra Grant, and the weird abuse she received from trolls and literal stalkers who thought she was some sort of evil schemer.

A couple of years ago, Grant had to take out a restraining order against one particular nutcase responsible for hundreds of posts attacking her, and even when Grant took out the restraining order, somehow these people (or this person) used it as another justification to go after her. To wit:

So this legal action is not about her safety.

It is about her seeking more attention and manipulating the public perception of her into a positive one by gaining pity…

This is all about damage control and to smear and label the critical fans as stalkers and invalidate their proof of her public lies and manipulations.

She wants to refute the warriors credibility by labeling them as crazy stalkers… so that their proof and revelations on her multiple manipulations and lies are not taken seriously…

This is the behaviour of a desperate person who got caught lying in public.

There is a lot of this going on in the bowels of the Internet. I bring it up only because I was reminded of it by a story that Lance Reddick (John Wick, The Wire) mentioned in a Vulture interview this week, where he was asked to weigh in on Keanu. Among other things, Reddick mentioned that Keanu is “shy” but spiritually advanced, and “incredibly deep and insightful and thoughtful.” The very sweet story also mentioned Grant.

I hope I don’t get in trouble for telling this story: During John Wick: Chapter Four, my first day of filming happened to be Keanu’s birthday. But he wasn’t in the scene. He came to the set anyway at nine o’clock at night with his girlfriend who I had never met. And she is … can I say a bad word?

His girlfriend is cool as fuck. And she told me that she asked Keanu what he wanted to do for his birthday and he said, “I want to go see Lance.” He’d never done this before but he wrote me a note thanking me for what I brought to the character in these movies. And he wanted to give the note to me. I’ll never forget it. I’m going to cry now.

Awww. See there, crackpots! Lance Reddick says that Alexandra Grant is “cool as fuck,” which is a cool as fuck thing to say. The note is pretty nice, too.
