Jason Derulo is a star of stage and screen, tearing it up as an acclaimed singer and making audiences meow as The Rum Tum Tugger in Cats. But with concerts and movie theaters shuttered, this charismatic multi-hyphenate has channeled his creative energy into TikTok videos. Once you see these, him signing on to Cats makes all the sense.

Some of the vids are goofy challenges, like jumping into sweatpants.

Some are thirst traps.

Some are pranks.

Hungry?

How about some Harry Potter cloak of invisibility shenanigans?

Or a low-key tribute to Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory’s Violet Beauregarde?

Fans have been wowed by how Derulo’s been employing clever effects into his vids.

Then came this vid where Derulo tackled a don’t-try-this-at-home “life hack.”

Did Derulo legit bust his two front teeth? Or is this another vfx vid? A follow-up vid suggested it was real, as he frets over how to get it fixed. But since then, he’s posted a string of new video’s where that mega-watt smile is intact. Among them was this adorable offering, where he tests his dog Ice in the way many have TikTok users have been testing their kids: leave them with a delectable treat. Tell them not to eat it until you return. Can this doggo resist temptation?
