Key & Peele Show Us What's Been Missing From Every Other Press Tour Ever: KITTENS
With Keanu finally coming out this weekend, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele are wrapping up what has become possibly the greatest press tour in recent history. Do you remember that press junket interview for Triple 9, where Norman Reedus and Aaron Paul just cuddled puppies the whole time. Let me refresh your memory, because it was a gift.
Well, the Keanu press tour is like that, but on a nationwide scale. What has been missing from basically every other film promo campaign pretty much ever? KITTENS! SO MANY KITTENS!
First of all, they’re bringing Keanu (or one of the seven Keanus) along on a lot of their interviews and online Q&As.
But they also did a nationwide tour of cat shelters, promoting the movie, but also just hanging out with cats, trying to get them adopted. Here they are at the country’s first no-kill animal shelter in Chicago.
They ended the tour at the Cat Town Cafe (renamed Keanu’s Krib for the day) in Oakland last week.
Even though that tour is over, the kittens are still coming. We’ve seen these guys utilize their crazy naming skills before, but here, they’re using them on cats, as part of the web series The Real Tree House Cats of Chicago.
I’m really looking forward to this movie, but I’ll be sad to see the interviews and cat videos go.
