Cryptocurrency is something that I honestly thought would just disappear after a certain point. I know enough about it to know I’m not interested. I’m just in the dark enough to not be bombarded with memes and “investment opportunities.” Yet, now and then, a story slips through, and I’m forced to acknowledge its existence. In this case, it was a story about a Crypto heist. $4.5 billion worth of Crypto stolen by a wannabe rapper!

Wait, what?

Heather Rhiannon Morgan and her partner Ilya “Dutch” Lichtenstein were arrested for allegedly trying to launder $4.5 billion worth of Crypto. Not alleged is that Heather has a burgeoning(?) rap career? She even filmed a music video in the financial district in NYC because that area needed to become more insufferable. I’d share the youtube link, but it has been changed to private. That said, I’m sure you could find it if you look hard enough.

You can see at least a clip in this Daily Show segment. Trevor Noah reacts the way any sane human being should, with bewildered amusement. He also makes a great point. People will refer to anything as rap these days. If what Heather Morgan was doing was rap, then I have a lot of high school friends that used to freestyle at lunch to whom I need to apologize.
