It’s almost the Super Bowl, y’all! Time to grab your jumbo nachos and your buffaloed wings and your… beer? I dunno. I’m not big into the NFL. I have my reasons. But, having grown up in Massachusetts among… lively Patriots fans, I’m all for taking Tom Brady down a few pegs! No matter where he hangs his hat these days!
At this point, celebrities reading mean tweets on Jimmy Kimmel: Live is Guillermo! The bits can be a lot of fun and actually uses the meanness of Twitter for good. Who’d a thunk it? It only makes sense to have Brady come on, days before the Super Bowl, to do so. My feelings towards Brady aside, he dives in feet first and the results are hilarious.
I can only assume that the celebs involved discuss their comfort levels with the show’s staff about what they will and won’t read. There are also inherent restrictions on what you can say on television. However, Brady was clearly gung-ho because some of the tweets are BRUTAL. Like… woof.
Chances are I won’t be watching the Super Bowl on Sunday unless I’m bored. But, I’ll happily watch someone like Tom Brady take himself down on live TV. I appreciate him being a good sport, but that’s pretty much all I appreciate about him.
