We’ve put up with a lot this last year. Well, 18 months. Well, 5 years and change. However long it’s been since the wheels came off our little democratic experiment. That’s not important right now. What is important is that our favorite coping mechanism is back, baby! That’s right, later this month The Great British Baking Show returns to American shores via Netflix. Finally, a British invasion that works out well for everyone.
A fresh season of The Great British Baking Show is coming to Netflix (in The US)!

We’re not always pleased about the winners. We’re not always thrilled about cast changes. Some of us love bakers others find deeply annoying, though I think we can all agree 2020’s Marc Elliot seemed like an absolutely lovely person we’d like to hug for an uncomfortably long period of time. But it doesn’t matter. We all have our subjective tastes, flavors we like or don’t, textures that appeal or disgust. But as long as we approach our food, our cast, and our bakers with open-mindedness and a healthy desire to try new things, then we’ll get through this together. You, and me, and Paul’s steely blue gaze and rippling, Rambo-y arms… I’ve said too much. Watch The Great British Baking Show weekly on Netflix beginning September 24.
And if you somehow missed them, check out every deep dive Roxana wrote about GBBO last year. They’re fantastic.
