Let me get this out of the way real quick. Netflix, I’m very disappointed that there’s barely even a GLIMPSE of Rahul Kohli in this trailer. Sure, Hamish Linklater is serving up enough crazy-eye to keep the focus on him. But still.
Ahem, anyway. Mike Flangan’s much awaited follow up (at least by me) to The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass comes to Netflix on September 24th. We got the full length trailer today.
For my money, Flanagan is really great at setting up tension within the mundane and innocuous. What a beautiful, idyllic town Cockett Island is. I mean, gosh. What a sunset! What could possibly go wrong here?
Just give it a minute, folks.
Along with Kohli and Linklater, Midnight Mass also stars some Flanagan regulars alongside new faces: Kate Siegel, Zach Gilford, Henry Thomas, Kristin Lehman, Samantha Sloyan, Igby Rigney, Annarah Cymone, Annabeth Gish (who is also serving a VIBE here.) Alex Essoe, Rahul Abburi, Matt Biedel, Michael Trucco, Crystal Balint and Louis Oliver.
