Law & Order: SVU has run for 25 seasons, and Law & Order is now in its 23rd season in America, but Law & Order: Criminal Intent ran its course in just ten seasons. That series, however, is being rebooted in Toronto, of all places, where Law & Order: Toronto is set to premiere on February 22nd.
The cast includes a couple of Canadian actors from two of my favorite American series, Patriot and Rectify. The two police leads are Kathleen Munroe, who played Alice (the wife of the main character) in Patriot, and Aden Young, the brilliant lead in Rectify.

There are only around 70 murders a year in Toronto (compared to close to 400 in New York City), and I can’t even imagine what the “worst offenders” in Canada must be like: Very polite apologetic killers, no doubt. That said, I hope there’s a way to watch this in America. Are you listening, Peacock?
