Blake Lively's Husband Took His Mama To 'The View'

I hope my kids will like me someday. That’s the bare minimum that I’m aiming for. If they love me, great. Suppose they want to talk to me about stuff, even better. But, at the least, I want them to like me. I know it doesn’t always work out that way. Some parents try their best and still end up being exiled from their children’s lives. Tammy Reynolds, mom of Blake Lively’s husband Ryan, must have done a bang-up job.

Recently on The View, Whoopi Goldberg was remarking on how it feels to host the show. “Sometimes you look up and you go, ‘Oh, this is really great.’ And then you look over and you go, ‘Oh snap, there’s Ryan Reynolds!’” she exclaimed, as the camera turned to Deadpool himself, along with his mama. I don’t know if it’s just the context, but Reynolds looked normal as can be in the crowd. “By the way, this is way less stressful than up there,” he quickly told the host.

“My mom is here visiting her grandkids. And yesterday she said, ‘It’s my dream to go to The View.’ And I said, well, first off, I try to do what she says because you don’t know what she’s capable of. Unspeakable violence, my whole life,” he told Whoopi. Reynolds then explained that he made a call and said that he was “Blake’s husband,” making it possible for him to secure the seats.

“And here we are. I think my mom might have thought she was going to be on The View maybe, I’m not sure,” Reynolds joked, much to his mother’s amusement. It’s a fun little moment! Reynolds’s mom looks genuinely excited to be there. He looks happy to make her dreams come true. On top of everything else, Tammy got to say the show’s iconic “Take a little time to enjoy The View” closing line, while sitting in Goldberg’s chair no less.
