I don’t remember which episode of his podcast I was listening to last week, but Maron — making no secret of his love life — repeatedly referred to a “director lady” in his house with a guest (it was not the Brad Pitt/Leo DiCaprio ep). He did not refer to her by name, but the way he spoke of the “director lady” put Maron in a state of mind I’m not used to hearing from him. He sounded … happy.
It does not take a detective to figure out who Marc Maron is dating (in fact, it’s Wikipedia verified now). Pictures of Maron and director lady Lynn Shelton appeared on Instagram recently, when the two traveled to Ireland together. They also attended a couple of awards shows together.
I never would have thought to put them together, but yeah: They totally make sense. Shelton directed several episodes of GLOW, which is probably the initial connection point, although Maron also starred in her Sword of Trust. They have been together for a while.
Twice. No kids. With a lovely woman now. Film director. Very happy.

That’s the gossip. Now, here’s the trailer for Maron’s upcoming Netflix special, End Times Fun. Maron’s stand-up has never done that much for me, but he looks more relaxed here, and the jokes in the trailer are fantastic, which is better than we can say for the jokes advertised in the trailer for Pete Davidson’s stand-up special.
