Sometimes the news comes so fast and wild, we can’t catch it all. That was definitely the case of the absolutely bonkers Twitter drama that went on last week involving Pennsylvanian Republican Dean Browning. It began with a weird tweet, wherein the white man claimed, “I’m a black gay guy.” From there, conspiracies about burner accounts sparked. Twitter users played detective, and what they uncovered only got more confounding.
This kerfuffle had more WTF twists than a season of Riverdale. Thankfully, Pajiba favorite Amber Ruffin took a short break from hosting The Amber Ruffin Show to return to Late Night With Seth Meyers with a new “Amber Says What” segment. With her trademark enthusiasm, wit, and relatable exasperation, the wonderful Ruffin steps us through all the mad turns of this story that ends with a jaw-dropping celebrity cameo.
Ruffin’s always right. But here, man, there is only one superb reaction to all this and that is WHAT!?!
