All the 'Parks & Recreation' Guest Stars We Insist On Seeing In the Show's Final Season
It was announced today that Parks and Recreation will be returning for its seventh and final season January 13th, and giving us double-episode Tuesdays for only six short weeks before an hour-long finale on February 24th. This seems like an odd way to shotgun a finale, but given the show’s low ratings, it may just be their way to guarantee as many viewers as possible hold out till the end.
Michael Schur, Parks & Rec’s showrunner has also announced that the final season will be filled with cameos.
We made a long list of the people we wanted to have back at least one more time. We didn’t get everyone because some people are unavailable and some are on other shows or whatever — but we got back a lot of the people we wanted to see one more time.
I’m not a big fan of the Leslie Knope, This Is Your Life style send-off (Seinfeld finale, anyone?), but if we’re going to do this, let’s at least do it right. Obviously Ann and Chris will play a role, and Schur confirmed Jean-Ralphio (and hopefully Mona Lisa?) will appear. But going back through the entire season, here are some guest stars we’ll be pissed to see left out.
Aw, look how out of place Boring Mark looks. Let him back for one last episode, k?
Kathryn Hahn and Paul Rudd
Parker Posey can come too, while we’re bringing back Eagletonians
Will Arnett (Yes, they’re real-life exes now, but if they can raise children together, they can share a set for a day.)
The short season WILL span a Galentines Day.
Amy’s real-life boyfriend, you can’t let the show go without another visit from The Douche
Never have two people had more chemistry than Leslie Knope and Joe Biden.
