It was announced today that Parks and Recreation will be returning for its seventh and final season January 13th, and giving us double-episode Tuesdays for only six short weeks before an hour-long finale on February 24th. This seems like an odd way to shotgun a finale, but given the show’s low ratings, it may just be their way to guarantee as many viewers as possible hold out till the end.
Michael Schur, Parks & Rec’s showrunner has also announced that the final season will be filled with cameos.
We made a long list of the people we wanted to have back at least one more time. We didn’t get everyone because some people are unavailable and some are on other shows or whatever — but we got back a lot of the people we wanted to see one more time.
