Earlier this year, around my birthday, I wrote a piece displaying my willful ignorance of how astrology works, naming the worst people from every zodiac group that you’d never want to share traits with.
Today, my deliberate misunderstanding of sky science is flaring up again, because I refuse to believe the through line in today’s celebrity birthdays is a coincidence. Because a disproportionate percentage of the people responsible for shaping my young mind from the 90s on happened to be born today, October 3rd. Here’s who has a birthday today:

I was a bit too old for The Princess Diaries, but this guy could be a stand-in for any and every generic blond rom com prince (actual or symbolic) of the era. I was barely the right demographic for the unfailingly ’90s Brink, though, and this guy also voiced Sid, the psychopathic neighbor in Toy Story.
Lindsey Buckingham
The music may have been from an earlier era, but Fleetwood Mac was formative as hell for girls of all generations.
Tommy Wisseau
The Room came out when I was in college, so today’s birthdays range from shaping my weirdo brain all the way into its technical adulthood.
And while they didn’t shape my particular youth, I’m sure some of today’s other birthday celebrators played a big role in yours. So honorary mention to Tommy Lee, Scissor Sisters’ Jake Shears, India Arie, Clive Owen, Jack Wagner, Al Sharpton, Keb’ Mo’, Joey Arias, and Siegfried’s Roy.
