During the White House briefing today, the subject of Michael Flynn was brought up. A reporter asked Sean Spicer what he thought about a potential investigation, and Spicer said that would be appropriate if Flynn broke the law. The reporter then asked a follow up question, querying whether Sean Spicer thought the Trump transition team had appropriately vetted Michael Flynn.

Sean Spicer then blamed Obama, saying that the Obama White House had given him security clearance, so why would the Trump transition team need to vet Flynn?

He really, honest to God blamed Barack Obama.

Ummm, but, ahem, uh. President Obama fired Michael Flynn in 2014.

From Wikipedia:

In a private e-mail that was leaked online, Colin Powell said that he had heard in the DIA (apparently from later DIA director Vincent R. Stewart) that Flynn got fired because he was “abusive with staff, didn’t listen, worked against policy, bad management, etc.” According to The New York Times, Flynn exhibited a loose relationship with facts, leading his subordinates to refer to Flynn’s repeated dubious assertions as “Flynn facts”

This is rich, even for Sean Spicer.

Twitter responded accordingly. The GIFS, people. The GIFS!

Surely, this is a lie too far. Not even Trump supporters would believe this horseshit would they …
