This morning, nine House Republicans — including the House’s greatest self-owning wanker, Devin Nunes — wrote a letter asking that the Chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, Adam Schiff, resign from that position, echoing a similar call from the President on Twitter, because that’s what Trump does when it comes to his political enemies.

Here’s the letter, which states, in part: “The findings of the Special Counsel conclusively refute your past and present assertions and have exposed you as having abused your position to knowingly promote false information, having damaged the integrity of this Committee, and undermined faith in U.S. government institutions.”

Adam Schiff did not resign. In fact, the Chairman — one of four Democrats who apparently cannot be refused access to classified information — basically told his Republican colleagues to go screw.

Did you hear any lies? Because I didn’t hear any lies. In other words, by calling upon Adam Schiff to resign, the Republicans received a much-needed reminder of the litany of contacts between Donald Trump, his campaign, and the Russians. The evidence may not have risen to the level of “criminal conspiracy,” but it sure as hell was shady AF.

Nancy’s got his back, too.
