So that’s God, huh?
(Oh, spoilers, but also, the episode is from 2016, so…)
Something about the fact that God (previously known to us as Chuck Shurley) is a writer is both surprising (because who would make that kind of logical leap?) and… incredibly not (oh, right, the writers).
But in a show like Supernatural, one that’s managed to find enough stories to cover fifteen years of television (and you know, full network seasons, none of this six or eight episodes every two years), maybe they have earned the right to be self-indulgent. After all, they’ve built this world! Found new and increasingly convoluted ways to kill and bring back every character (or so I’m told)! Maybe we should let them have this one! I’m completely unbiased!
Anyway, if you’ve been keeping up with us, for this week’s show, we watched:
Season 4, Episode 18: The Monster At The End Of This Book
Season 5, Episode 5: Fallen Idols
Season 11, Episode 20: Don’t Call Me Shurley
Besides our very exciting coverage of these fine episodes of television, we also learned just how much of a fan Dustin is becoming of the show. Exhibit A proving his burgeoning fandom, this video that he shared with the group:
(But don’t worry, he also found a way to get us to talk about Friday Night Lights again, near the end of the podcast.)
Next week, our series on Supernatural reaches its exciting conclusion, as we watch the following episodes, described by Tori as “whatever she wanted to pick”:
Season 10, Episode 5: Fan Fiction
Season 11, Episode 4: Baby
Season 15, Episode 10: The Heroes Journey
Hope you join us then! And also now, in your favorite podcast place or below or right here!
