She-Hulk got a bad beat. It dropped during Marvel’s glut of Disney+ shows and had an uphill battle thanks to both sides of the aisle attacking it. Chuds were stereotypically mad about “wokeness,” and Film Twitter was on a Holy War against Marvel because anything that brings normal people joy must die to fuel the revolution. The headwinds were not great!
At the end of the day, though, it was a decent and clever show that Tatiana Maslany made into a meal. While fans of She-Hulk have been hoping that Maslany will make a return to the MCU, particularly with Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars bringing back every single iteration of every single character, a new report claims that Maslany and Marvel have parted ways.

Per the latest rumor from The Beyond Reporter, it appears Maslany “no longer works for Marvel” — bombshell news that, if true, thrusts the She-Hulk character into further purgatory going forward.
Whether Maslany quit or was fired is unknown, but she did take a noticeable swing at Disney during the Jimmy Kimmel debacle in September 2025. She took to Instagram and told her followers to cancel their subscriptions to Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN. She was very thorough!
Naturally, this has already sparked speculation that Maslany is following Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan over to DC Studios. Could that be the case? Maybe! Black Widow and Bucky are going to be in a Batman movie, anything is possible!
That said, it should be noted that word of Maslany being out at Marvel is not coming from the trades and is nothing more than internet rumors at the moment. (What the heck is The Beyond Reporter?) So, I wouldn’t be surprised to see She-Hulk pop up in one of the upcoming Avengers movies, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if her voice is not Maslany’s.
It’d be nice if she didn’t get done dirty for once, but I’m not holding my breath.
