In December 2017, Joe Biden famously consoled Meghan McCain on The View as she broke down in tears over her father’s brain cancer diagnosis, which would claim his life the following year. Biden had also lost his son, Beau, to the disease, and nothing was more important to him than comforting the daughter of a dear friend. It was effortless for Biden and a true testament to his character as he held Meghan’s hand and helped her through the understandably emotional moment on live TV.
In stark contrast to that, Donald Trump would piss on John McCain’s grave so many times that Republicans made a Kingsman parody of Trump shooting the Arizona senator who stopped his efforts to dismantle Obamacare. Upon returning to office in 2025, Trump would immediately empower Elon Musk to smash a hole in the federal government, causing a calamitous situation for cancer research as federal funding evaporated with a click of Big Balls’ mouse. We’re talking top universities on the forefront of fighting cancer literally had to pause their admissions and freeze hiring.
Taking all of this into account, plus Meghan’s repeated tweeting of #f**kCancer, surely, she’d be one of the Trump Administration’s fiercest critics. Not only did the guy routinely besmirch MY FATHER but cancer research literally got worse on his watch. Trump is a walking affront to everything Meghan stands for, so it’s going to take more than a hollow stunt to win over Princess Principles here.
Except, nope, not really. She’s gonna Hawk Tuah on that thing.

Anyone who has been impacted by brain cancer knows how special this is.
Of course, Meghan had to slobber all over this moment because it immediately became the go-to stick for MAGA to beat Democrats with. Under any negative story of Trump this week, you will undoubtedly find one of them commenting something like, “Why don’t you report about the Democrats not clapping for a cancer survivor? It’s despicable!” (Should the Democrats have participated in this moment? If they did, they would’ve been ripped apart by the impotent rage merchants of social media. But let’s not interrogate that and keep calling the Democrats “cringe” and/or “spineless.” That’s helping.)
Anyway, you can tell Meghan’s blatant hypocrisy got ruthlessly dragged because the next day she retweeted her husband:

Meat Sweats Magoo over here appears to be scolding Never Trump Republicans, and Meghan was one of their more prominent members. She routinely blasted Trump on The View and on social media for years. Granted, she also trashed both Biden and Kamala, but Meghan never hopped on the Trump Train until very recently. What changed? Access, baby!
It’s not like John McCain is going to come back to life and see all of this, amirite? He won’t know.
