In what has become an increasing pattern, Meghan McCain once again questioned the current administration despite casting aside her Never Trump bonafides to deeply bathe in the MAGA waters. Like all things Meghan, she crowned herself the queen of hating cancer after MY FATHER died back in 2018. None of you peasants fight cancer like Meghan does, and that’s why she called out the Trump administration for its chainsaw approach to government spending.
Here’s what Meghan wrote on Twitter:
I am absolutely heartbroken at the news the funding for brain cancer research has been completely cut from NIH. My father and millions of others have been treated there for Glioblastoma and other brain cancers with miracle doctors and nurses. At NIH among other treatments is a proton beam they only exists in two other places other in America. The proton beam lasers around brain tumors and kills them. It is nothing short of a miracle (among all the other cancer treatments at NIH).Those of us who are a part of the brain cancer community are mourning today. America and NIH have always been a beacon of hope for those of us praying for a cure.
Some government spending is needed and appropriate - cancer research is one of them. I am heartbroken by this. Heartbroken.
In Meghan’s defense, this needed to be said. In Meghan’s non-defense, she freaking deleted it. That’s right! That tweet no longer exists on Meghan’s account, but screenshots live forever.
We warned them that cutting science budgets would mean decimation of cancer research.

Turns out, Meghan’s fierce battle against cancer is only as strong as the political headwinds. Sure, the disease killed her father, the sole source of her patented shriek that can level mountains, but what’s really important to Meg these days is waving away Tulsi Gabbard’s massive national security blunder and attacking trans kids.
I wholeheartedly and completely trust the judgment of my friend @TulsiGabbard and always have. I continue to believe that she is hands down the best person America has serving in the administration to keep our homeland safe.

We are truly so lucky to have her serving as our DNI.
Stop making biological women compete against biological men.

This student deserves to be applauded not expelled.
I am so sick of being told this isn't happening and it is only impacting "a few girls". This is abject insanity and 80% of the American public agrees with me. https://t.co/cjUdPJYzF8
I’m old enough to remember when Meghan presented herself as the “cool Republican” who backed LGBTQ rights and hated Trump. But at the end of the day, Meghan’s husband has always been a right-wing opportunist peddling MAGA sewer water in The Federalist and wherever the heck he is now. (I honestly don’t care enough to look.)
We’re clearly in the era of MY HUSBAND, and apparently, that means looking the other way while Trump continues to piss all over John McCain’s grave and never once apologizes. It’s not like he’s coming back from the dead, so what does he care? Amirite, Meg? High five.
