Jimmy Kimmel & Fallon Are 'Next' in the Late Night Barrel

Jimmy Fallon entered a much-deserved world of sh*t when he tousled the hair of the former star of The Apprentice heading into the 2016 election. Nearly a decade later, that same reality star is now threatening to wipe both Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel off of late-night TV, right behind their good pal Stephen Colbert.

However, because we’re living in Nonsense World, our D-list president would like it known that he had nothing do with Colbert getting canceled. But, say something should happen to Kimmel and Fallon, well, that’s just business. These things happen, Tone.

Via Variety:

Everybody is saying that I was solely responsible for the firing of Stephen Colbert from CBS, Late Night. That is not true! The reason he was fired was a pure lack of TALENT, and the fact that this deficiency was costing CBS $50 Million Dollars a year in losses — And it was only going to get WORSE! Next up will be an even less talented Jimmy Kimmel, and then, a weak, and very insecure, Jimmy Fallon. The only real question is, who will go first? Show Biz and Television is a very simple business. If you get Ratings, you can say or do anything. If you don’t, you always become a victim. Colbert became a victim to himself, the other two will follow.

I don’t ever want to hand it to the waffle-stomper who wrote that little screed, but he is (mostly) right. There has been increasing evidence that Colbert’s cancellation was purely financial. Samantha Bee recently said as much, and even Seth Meyers is openly admitting that late night is a dying format. I’ve also seen very convincing arguments that CBS provided cover for Colbert, albeit self-servingly, by giving him an entire year to operate in DGAF-mode and go out the door swinging.

That said, make no mistake, the President of the United States is trying to personally dictate who can say what on TV and in print, which is as literal a violation of the First Amendment as it gets. And, yet, we’re hearing absolute silence from the chuds who spent years whining about “Whatever happened to freedom of speech?” and/or stupidly proclaimed that “Comedy is legal again!” after Twitter changed hands.

Is it, guy who just wants to say the N-word on Christmas without his kids getting mad at him? Is it really?
