Elon Musk’s Push of ‘Citizen Vigilante’ Is His Latest Racist Move

I don’t know if Elon Musk will ever face consequences for his actions. The man has used his considerable wealth to push far-right agendas and racist ideologies. He dismisses anyone who describes him as he is, which is a white supremacist with the charm of a moldy potato, because he has the money to do so. His supporters, who are driven by his ability to make them money (or the naive idea that they, too, can be like him someday), defend his decisions and have among their number more than just a handful of C.H.U.D.S. behind keyboards.

Musk has been able to court (bribe?) world leaders with his hatred, money, and his tech (which is designed to spread hatred and make money). Even the people who you’d hope would have the good sense to kick him to the curb will point to his companies and say, “he’s odd, but he’s sending us to space and giving us electric cars.” The snag, as always, with that defense is that these exploding cars and space ships are mostly made for rich, white folk. He’s not doing anything for “humanity,” as he and his supporters may claim.

Look no further than the recent and horrific riots in Belfast. Musk used X to amplify violent, anti-migrant sentiment, and, unsurprisingly, it resulted in violence against innocent people—some who were dragged from their homes, which were then burned to the ground. It was an absolutely horrific development, and one that many allege Musk is responsible for. But that was almost a month ago and, of course, he has faced no consequences. Not only that, but the detestable Iron Man 2 star is doubling down.

Over the weekend, Musk made a new Uwe Boll film starring Armie Hammer available on X for free for 48 hours, despite it having been released only a week earlier. It shouldn’t be too surprising that Musk was promoting Boll, as they are both talentless hacks who claim critics of their work are paid off, or stupid, or both. But now, he’s got even more reason to promote the director, as his new film sounds like an abhorrently bigoted piece of trash, much like the owner of X.

In the movie, Armie Hammer plays an entitled white man who is running around Europe killing migrants who are constantly let off the hook for their crimes thanks to woke judges, family members, and society. That is not a joke or an exaggeration. The movie seems designed to make Death Wish 3 look quaint by comparison. It has been attacked for being racist and boring, so, again, of course, Musk was all over that shiz, collaborating with Boll directly to make the film free to watch.

The idea that Musk can promote a film that glamorizes the same violence he was inciting hardly a month ago with impunity is absolutely terrifying, and a perfect example of why so much control of the media by one person is such a bad idea. While you’d hope people would know better than to be swayed by a work of fiction, it happens all the time, and this combo of fiction and real life feels intentionally designed to confuse those who may only take a passing glance at such things. Musk certainly didn’t time the riots to coincide with the release of this piece of filth, but it could not have worked out better for him.

While Musk may not face consequences in his life, I do think that history will paint him as the obnoxious, entitled baffoon that he is. He will be remembered as subhuman garbage who attempted to sway society away from union and togetherness, and toward his vision of an elite life for people who can afford it over the safety and security of our most vulnerable. The man will be called a death merchant, thanks to his racist rhetoric and dismantling of USAID. History will not be kind to this charlatan, and I do take some comfort in that.

And, ya know, no one will remember Uwe Boll at all.

It’s been a while, but, as per Dustin’s edict: For aesthetic reasons, Pajiba’s official policy is to replace photos of Elon Musk with those of Lee Pace, with apologies to Lee Pace.
