This week on The Graham Norton Show we had Simon Pegg, Kylie Minogue, and comedian Michael McIntyre. Simon was there to talk about the new Mission: Impossible but the clip online is mostly about how he and Tom Cruise were pranking each other while doing a long car stunt in Casablanca. Simon did manage to get him back a bit:
Simon also briefly talked about his new film Man Up where he’s mistaken for a woman’s blind date, which got the guests talking about the concept of blind dates and how it’s vanishing from our culture. We also get a bit from Micahel McIntyre about how terrible he was with women before he met his wife, which is both charming and also very sad.
And then we got an explanation of the difference between a Hag-Do and a Stag-Do from some audience members who had a Kylie Minogue themed Hag-Do. Of course, Stag-Dos are the British version of Bachelor parties, Hen-Dos are Bachelorette parties, and apparently Hag-Dos are some ultra-camp combination of the two.
And now we’ve all (or probably most of us anyway) learned something.
