Hayley Atwell Joins the Team in the 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I' Trailer

This May has Guardians of the Galaxy III, the live-action Little Mermaid and Fast X, while June will offer Spider-Man: Across the Universe, Transformers: Rise of the Beast, and The Flash. I feel like July is where the best releases of this summer reside. Not only do Oppenheimer and Barbie square off on July 21st but the first Mission Impossible movie in five years arrives with Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I, which hits theaters on July 12th.

Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Ving Rhames return, along with newcomer to the series, Hayley Atwell, the former Pajiba 10er whom we have seen very little of over the last five years, probably because she’s been busy working on this. Here’s the trailer. Hold on to your butts:

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie, Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and his IMF team will endeavor to track down a terrifying new weapon that threatens all of humanity before it falls into the wrong hands. “With control of the future,” so says the synopsis, “and the fate of the world at stake, and dark forces from Ethan’s past closing in, a deadly race around the globe begins. Confronted by a mysterious, all-powerful enemy, Ethan is forced to consider that nothing can matter more than his mission - not even the lives of those he cares about most.”

Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part I will arrive in theaters on July 12th.
