I wish I could say that I was unabashedly in love with the trailer for the Barbie movie, but I’m not completely sold on the basis of the footage herein, which looks like an awesome, expensive star-studded SNL sketch. However, I trust that Greta Gerwig can make it work as a full-length movie. The logline suggests there’s far more possibility than does the limited peek into the movie based on the trailer: “To live in Barbie Land is to be a perfect being in a perfect place. Unless you have a full-on existential crisis. Or you’re a Ken.”
