Does Sterling K. Brown Hate Jennifer Lopez? People Sure Think So

The promotional tour for the new Netflix movie Atlas seems to be having a mini Don’t Worry Darling moment as people are very convinced that Sterling K. Brown is shading the hell out of Jennifer Lopez. I have no idea how anyone is seeing any of this considering Twitter is a graveyard haunted by eight billion porn robots, but for once, we’re not talking about the Ben Affleck divorce rumors, so I’ll take it.

The most damning evidence is this Unilad clip where, yeah, it does look like Brown is mocking Lopez right to her face:

While the talking in Spanish came off as weirdly aggressive, that appears to be a thing for this promotional tour, which we’ll see in a much more boring clip below. In the meantime, I wasn’t entirely sold on Brown hating Lopez until I watched it again and saw him purposefully shoot this look to the camera:

In fairness, Brown could just as easily be over this whole press tour in general, but I totally get the thrill of reading the look as “Jennifer Lopez makes me yearn for the sweet release of death.” We’re all just trying to get through the day, and sometimes, catty celebrity drama is the only lube that can push us through. (I should write bumper stickers. I know.)

I mentioned a more boring clip, and that would be this bad boy. I’m going to be honest, this one seems like a whole lot of smoke with a tiny bit of fire. Mostly it hinges on Brown speaking Spanish better than Lopez and not being shy about it. It happens toward the end, and OK, it kinda seems like he’s showing off. But also, again, my man is probably bored out of his mind.

As a white guy on the internet, the last thing anyone needs is me touching on the cultural sensitivities here (or any topic, really), so you kids have fun in the comments. Enjoy.
