I am newly familiar with this whole “Mom” business (thanks, Ryan Murphy and Scream Queens!), but for the unfamiliar, “Mom” is a new term used to apply to people you look up to and/or who you consider a role model.
Why “Mom”? God knows, but it is creepy. Hayley Atwell sure as hell didn’t care for it, even if it meant hurting a fan’s feelings, which is practically unheard of for Atwell (though, I can’t say I blame her).
@xoxoMaximoff I'm not your 'MOM'

This 'mom' calling business is creepy. Consider yourself blocked, people!

You blocked me just because I call you "mom" , … sorry … Today is my birthday and I did not expect that @HayleyAtwell

So, let this be a lesson to you, folks. Your mother gave birth to you or adopted you or acted as your actual mother. That’s the only person to whom the word “Mom” should be applied.
To help ease the awkwardness of that interaction, however, here’s Atwell doing a Cannonball.
