It’s early going, and it seems that Veep and Transparent are leading in the comedy categories, with Tony Hale and Julia Louis-Dreyfus taking home wins for Veep and Jill Solloway winning for best writing for Transparent. Jeffrey Tambor also beat some stiff competition to take home the award for best actor in a comedy, and whatever else you might think about whether he deserves it (he does), he gave a powerful, touching speech giving a classy shout-out to the transgender community.
