Coming off his first year as a Yankee, where he won Rookie of the Year and helped the Yankees to win the World Series (does anyone remember Jeffrey Maier, and was that the last time until this year that the Orioles were in the playoffs?), Derek Jeter made his first appearance on The Late Show, where he talked about Maier (he planted him in the stands) and his mentors.
With Jeter retiring tomorrow, and everyone — including Red Sox, but apparently not ranty, buzzkill Keith Olbermann — honoring the guy on his way out, The Late Show thought it was a good time to repost this interview (I agree).
