I have a brother who, growing up, was a meth addict by the time he was 14 and a high school drop-out as soon as he turned 16, but the kid could do things with the guitar that fucking blew my mind (hell, he still can). Around high-school talent competition time, he’d take in classes for a few weeks and show up for the talent competition, and I swear to God, while he was playing every teenage girl in the audience would flip the fuck out for a stoner burnout they probably barely even knew. There is nothing in the world like that feeling.
What I would have given for one moment in high school half as amazing as that, or the one this kid must have experienced after slaying a high-school auditorium with some of the sickest footwork you’ll ever see in a high school kid, professional dancer, or otherwise.
