TV Show Apologizes After Playing Viciously Cruel, Heartless Prank on a 13-Year-Old Girl
Autumn Allen is a 13-year-old singer and songwriter. She seems very sweet. The poor girl also hasn’t seen her mother in seven years. However, on Mother’s Day, a Cambodian television show thought it would be funny to have Allen on the show and suggest to her that they were about to reunite her with her mother.
Allen was teary at the prospect, telling the host that it would be a dream come true. She hasn’t seen her mother since she was six years old and left the United States with her father.
After gettling Allen all worked up about seeing her mother, the hosts pulled the rug out from under her, bringing out — instead — a male comedian in drag.
Ha! It’s funny because IT’S TERRIBLE.
What a f*cked up thing to do.
Allen, however, took it in stride, and by that, I mean, she didn’t tackle the hosts and kick them to death. In fact, she posted the following message on Facebook:
Thank you for the enormous show of support regarding the ‘Mother’s Day show’. I am sure there was no harm intended and I had fun on the show.
After the incident sparked international outrage, the Cambodian TV show nevertheless apologized, not only for playing the cruel prank on the poor unsuspecting girl but hopefully for also using a crossdresser as the butt of a joke.
