In case you missed it (or just needed a reminder), Amazon is making the entire first season of Transparent available for free this Saturday, for 24 hours only. If you haven’t already seen the show, and you don’t have an Amazon Prime account, DO NOT MISS THIS.
The show is celebrating its Golden Globes wins, and also gearing up for season two, which will be out sometime this year. In addition to streaming the show for free, this weekend Amazon will also be offering discounted Prime memberships for $72 (marked down from $99). I always think of Amazon Prime as being way too expensive, but broken down, that’s actually cheaper than Netflix streaming. Maybe it’s just my own frustration at having to pay for so many different services that all, in theory, do the same thing. (I don’t have cable, so I get all my TV from Hulu Plus, Netflix, Amazon, and generous HBO Go password donations.)
Anyway, as you work to clear your Saturday schedule, here are a few behind the scenes videos to get you in the mood.
