Hey You Guys caught up with Joss Whedon at the London premiere of Guardians of the Galaxy, and the Age of Ultron director amiably answered every question sent his way (replete with smiling and funny faces). One of his interesting responses was to the question about whether women would be better represented in Avengers 2; the director seemed to hint at an as-yet unknown fourth main female character. As WGTC notes, so far we know about Black Widow, Scarlet Witch and Maria Hill.
“There are four prominent female roles in the center of the movie, and I think, a more balanced presence throughout the movie….I’m not trying to fulfill an agenda, but I’m interested in men and women. I’m interested in grown-ups who act like children and dress like clowns and punch each other.” (Whedon)
The whole of the short interview is a delight to watch, so check it:
So…guesses at the fourth female? (Please, dear lordopus, not Jane Foster!)
Cindy Davis, (Twitter) would be happy to see more Sharon Carter.
