We’ve made a lot of fun, and expressed a lot of animosity for Jay Leno over the last decade of this site’s existence (and the last 22 years of his Tonight Show run), but I think we can put all that aside for now. Leno signed off of The Tonight Show for the final time (probably) last night, and it was a sweet, emotional, and grateful farewell, and when Leno was done shedding his tears, Garth Brooks (what?!) came out and sang Leno off.
It was a good, honest, and lovely television moment. Congrats on an amazing 22-year-run at the top of the late-night ratings (if the video doesn’t load, watch here).
So long, Jay.
