Childhood is full of advice giving, world-shaping self-help books like Everybody Poops and Calvin and Hobbes. (That was a how-to book on snowman building, right? That’s how I always saw it.) But where are the pithy rhyming nuggets of advice for adults, huh?

This Animation Domination video from Fox of all places is earwormingly twee, but balanced out with its fair share of gloomy cynicism. Useful tidbits for a better life include “We’re all fundamentally lonely,” “Everything is stupid, happiness is a projection,” and “Pick up that trash. I know it’s not your trash.” I truly believe that last one is the key to universal happiness.
