Late Late Show host and all-around awesome dude Craig Ferguson (who strangely retweeted a post I wrote last week about the fact that The Drew Carey Show has no legacy) is making the rounds this week, plugging his new game show, Celebrity Name Game and, I guess, having a minor farewell tour, since he’ll be leaving late night television at the end of the year. Earlier this week, Ferguson stopped by the show of his competitor, Seth Meyers, and told The Late Night host, “You’re going to go fucking crazy, Seth.”
He is being candid on his way out, and that continued last night on an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, telling Andy Cohen that he was not pissed about not getting Letterman’s show (but pissed off that people don’t believe him). He also admitted, to the delight of a horrified Jessica Chastain, that his worst guest ever was .. Macy Gray.
Not as sensational as Jon Stewart’s worst guest ever (Hugh Grant), although Ferguson tries to minimize it by saying that he “thinks she was in a bad mood that night.” Maybe, but only if Macy Gray is also in a bad mood every day of her life, because she’s notoriously rude, having once apparently walked out on a Vogue photoshoot (the photographer said she was the rudest person he’d ever worked with).
