Craig Ferguson is, understandably, a little perplexed by how he found himself in his current career. As he told Seth Meyers last night, most late-night hosts go to good universities, spend some time writing comedy, and follow a well-laid-out path. While the other guys were doing that, however, Ferguson “was taking acid in the back of a van with the guy who ended up playing the Doctor.” (Not “Doctor Who,” Meyers, or Craig will sock you one.)

That’s right. Craig Ferguson and Peter Capaldi used to be in a band together, originally called “The Bastards From Hell,” later renamed “The Dreamboys” in one of the greatest rebrandings of all time.
