I was able to catch the premiere of Halt and Catch Fire back at SXSW, and while I found it to be a fantastically-costumed, Lee Pace-filled snoozefest, AMC has upped their marketing game. They commissioned the Fine Brothers to devote an episode of their Kids React YouTube series to putting kids in front of an old computer.
Oh, little girl who goes straight for the touch screen, you are the future.
Halt and Catch Fire airs June 1st. Lee Pace has said that the pilot isn’t a good indication of where the show will go, so I’m willing to keep watching, but maybe only if AMC uses puppy videos for the rest of its ads. Deal?
