Danny Cho (Steven Yeun) and Amy Lau (Ali Wong) apparently found each other on the wrong day in the trailer for Beef. They’re both having a sh**ty time of it when Danny nearly backs into Amy, who honks at Danny, and before you know it, a road rage incident takes on a life of its own. “The increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.”
I have no idea how creator Lee Sung Jin (Dave, Silicon Valley) manages to turn one road-rage incident into an entire television series, but I am here for it. This looks spectacular. The A24 series premieres at SXSW on the 18th, before streaming on Netflix early next month.
Beef will arrive on April 6, 2023.
