Season one of Amazon’s The Rings Of Power was one of the worst shows I’ve seen in quite some time. It was honestly quite impressive just how bad it was! And I speak from experience as someone who dislikes a lot of things. A connoisseur of urgh. A connoissurgh, if you will. As someone who considers Peter Jackson’s film trilogy some of his favorite films of all time (well, the first two films of the trilogy anyway, The Return of the King is good, but not quite on the same level as the others), I didn’t have high hopes for the show. In fact I had rock bottom expectations. And it still managed to shatter that bottom on its subterranean plunge. I tried, with steely will and iron heart, to finish that first season, but I had no chance in the end. By the time Mordor became Mordor, I had to check out.
Suffice it to say, then, that I didn’t catch up on season two of The Rings Of Power. Which is why I’m grateful for the guys over at ‘Pitch Meeting’ for doing so for me, so that I can catch up this way. Cheers guys.
