Cold Open — Again for Mother’s Day, the cast brings out their moms and a few one-liners, to boot. It’s not even fair to score this one. 100 out of 10! Go Moms.

Maya Rudolph Monologue — Wow! Maya goes full mother for what is not only a fun musical/dance performance, but a really impressive one. It’s the kind of thing they must have spent all week rehearsing. It’s the greatest Mother’s Day monologue ever. I hope there’s something left in the tank for the rest of the show. (Score: 8 out of 10)

Hot Ones — One of the classic Maya sketches is her Beyoncé on Hot Wings. She’s back to do it again, and it is somehow even funnier, as she endeavors to remove her bones from her body. (Maya also did a Hot Ones on her comedy, Loot, which was one of the funniest moments of 2023). In honor of Mother’s Day and her birthday, this one is the Hazel skit of the week. (Score: 8 out of 10)

Please Don’t Destroy — I feel like we haven’t seen these guys around for a while. They’re at dinner with their girlfriends, who decide they want to look at each others’ Instagram Explore pages. The men, for reasons that become apparent and involve Maya Rudolph, self-esteem, and her breasts, do not want their girlfriends to see their explore pages. (Score: 7 out of 10)

Teachers — It’s the end of the school year, and the teachers are here to say, “Y’all won.” They give up. They can’t control their kids, who broke sometime during COVID and returned as entitled monsters who speak in riddles. TSIDDAHN. Mat, this one’s for you! (Score: 6 out of 10)

British Cavemen — They used nearly the whole cast for this one, about the primitive cavemen in what is now known as London, all of whom speak in a caveman language with various British accents. Decent. (Watch Here) (Score: 5 out of 10)

Pick Up — A girl on a sleepover calls her mom to come to pick her up because she’s not having fun, and we get a long montage of all the various excuses the mom (and Dad) give the sleepover parents for needing to pick her up. Funny and sweet. (Score: 6.5 out of 10)

Weekend Update — Che and Jost spend the first few minutes on Stormy Daniels’ jokes, naturally, before Sarah Sherman does the segment she was born to do: RFK, Jr’s brain worm (which, as always, is mostly an excuse to make fun of Jost). Che delivers an inordinate amount of groaners this week, and then Heidi Gardner appears as a “Mom who says she’s not mad.” (She’s mad. You can watch her here). (Score: 6.5 out of 10)

Tip Top Coffee Commercial — Maya plays an actress doing a coffee commercial who has never had coffee before. There’s a lot of hyperactivity and farting involved. I love Maya Rudolph. (Score: 6.5 out of 10)

National Nurses Week — Nurses talk about how much they love their jobs, except for two Jamaican nurses (one of whom is from the Jamacain part of Ireland), whose patient is an old, horny nightmare. They can’t all be winners! (Watch Here) (Score: 3.5 out of 10)

Lanzetti’s Lawn Care — The perfect lawn care service for those who don’t want to worry about their wives sleeping with the lawn boy because all of their employees are unattractive, sexless, and socially awkward! Weirdly, it’s not been uploaded to YouTube. (Score: 5 out of 10)
