‘Lovecraft Country’ is Free on YouTube and There Was Much Rejoicing

On August 16th, 2020, Lovecraft Country debuted on HBO. The critical reviews were solid (you can read Pajiba’s review from Roxana Hadadi here) and fan reaction was equally as glowing. From the incredible special affects, to the world class acting on display, to the deftly crafted scares, the show is a welcome addition to the 2020 season.

If you haven’t been swept up in its timely glow yet, here’s a trailer.

If that was enough to get you interested but maybe you haven’t given in and gotten a subscription to one of HBO’s many iterations, I have good news for you. The first episode of Lovecraft Country is now available for free on YouTube! If you have already seen it, now you can share it with your friends. Or you can watch it again, digging for Easter Eggs like I did (I see you, Herbert West reference).

Based on the novel by Matt Ruff, Lovecraft Country stars Jurnee Smollett, Johnathan Majors, Aunjanue Ellis and Courtney B. Vance and is scheduled to run ten episodes from now through October 18th.
