In case you some how missed it, marshmallows, Rob Thomas, the creator of Veronica Mars, announced that everyone’s favorite acid-tongue detective show is getting a spin-off. Of sorts.
The CW web series: a comedy featuring @HiRyanHansen attempting to put together a Dick Casablancas spin-off of #VeronicaMars. No date yet.

Ryan Hansen has been absolutely killing it in his post-Veronica Mars years, not only on Party Down and Burning Love, but a number of other projects. But that’s not why I fell in love with him. Truth is, Dick was always a favorite and it’s pretty incredible that Hansen turned a one-line background role in the pilot into an irreplaceable member of the cast by season two. A web series where Hansen plays a version of himself is a perfect showcase for his talents and exactly the kind of out-of-the-box continuation of the Veronica Mars universe I’d like to see. Here are some reasons we’re Team Dick/Ryan/Kyle/Blaze/They’reAllOneFlaxenHairedBlurInMyHeadAnyway.
Because Unlike Some Shias, He Knows How To Drop A Daniel Clowes Reference
Because Of His Ability To Party Down
